Gurpurb Dates 2022
Sikhism has it’s own festivals and important days to celebrate.
Gurpurbs celebrate all events connected with the Sikh Gurus, these include the birthdays of the Sikh Gurus, Gurus leaving for heavenly abode or the martyrdom days of the Sikh Gurus.
The other main events are Vaisakhi, (Birth of Khalsa), First Parkash (‘opening ceremony’) of the Guru Granth Sahib at the newly built Golden Temple in Amritsar, India, in 1604 and Bandi Chor (the release from prison in Gwalior of the Sixth Guru, Guru Hargobind Ji, and 52 other princes with him).
In the event of any changes, this page will be updated accordingly.
